Some Kind of Wonderful! Ghostlight Records to Release Original Cast Recording of Beautiful

We won’t just be loving Jessie Mueller tomorrow, but for all time! Ghostlight Records will release the Original Cast Recording of Broadway’s Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Starring Mueller as Carole King, the album is scheduled to be recorded on February 17 and will be available for purchase digitally and in stores this spring.

The record will feature classic numbers by Gerry Goffin/Carole King and Barry Mann/Cynthia Weil from the tuner including "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," "One Fine Day," "(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman," "On Broadway," and "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling."

Beautiful, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, opened on the Main Stem at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on January 12.  With a book by Douglas McGrath and direction by Marc Bruni, the production also stars Jake Epstein as Gerry Goffin, Anika Larsen as Cynthia Weil, Jarrod Spector as Barry Mann, Jeb Brown as Don Kirshner and Liz Larsen as Genie Klein.
